LAKE CHARLES, La. (September 3, 2026) - The Lake Charles City Council voted unanimously Wednesday evening to authorize City administration to move forward with Lognion Investments, LLC on the partnership, Cooperative Endeavor Agreement and ground-lease negotiations for Lognion's On The Lakefront.

The action moves the locally led waterfront dining and entertainment concept into detailed development work. It is not final design approval and does not begin construction. The next phase includes site coordination, final agreements, design refinement, pricing, financing, permitting and other required approvals.

"The Council's vote gives us the opportunity to begin the detailed work that can turn this vision into a real, accountable project," said Chris Lognion, managing member of Lognion Investments. "We are grateful to Mayor Marshall Simien, the City Council, City administration and everyone who has encouraged more activity on our Lakefront. Now the real work begins."

The concept is designed around ten independent restaurant spaces, a central bar and pavilion, covered seating, shared gathering areas, live entertainment, lawn recreation and flexible community programming. Guests would be able to choose where they want to sit, scan one QR code to order from multiple restaurant menus and have their food delivered by runners. Traditional ordering at individual restaurant windows would remain available.

"People have been asking for more restaurants, more nighttime activity and more reasons to spend time on the Lakefront," Lognion said. "This project is designed to answer that need with a place people can return to throughout the day, throughout the week and throughout the year."

Project information, conceptual renderings and an interest form for restaurant and food-truck operators are available at Lognions.com. Project details remain subject to final agreements, design, pricing, financing, permitting and approvals.
